MEETINGS THIS WEEK

• Success School Bible Study, Wednesday 27th July, 7pm.
• HOLY COMMUNION & Faith Clinic Prayer meeting, Friday 29th July at 7pm.

Next week Sunday, 31st July, we will be having two main services as follows:

• Prayer Meeting, 8:30am;
• Sunrise Service, 9:00am;
• Sunday School, 10:30am followed by
• Sunshine Service at about 11:15am
• Youth service also starts with Sunday School at 10:30am in the youth building.

• A computer software training is starting soon. It’s free! For more information please speak to Deacon Dotun.
• Drums & piano lessons now available in the church. If you’re interested in taking part please speak to the ushers or Bro Seth.
• Volunteers required for children’s church, both men & women (not more than one service, once a month). Please speak to Sis Toyin Ojobaro or Sis Judith Conweh. Those who collected the forms last week should please return them.
• There are still a few copies left of books by Pastor Awobode. If interested please speak with the ushers.

• The Evangelism team will be meeting on Saturday 30th July from 12 noon. New members are welcome to attend. Please see Bro Wale for more information.
• The Singles will be meeting on Sat 30th July at 6pm in the church auditorium. Please take note, come if you’re single & invite your single friends too
• Fun day out for children during summer. Specifically targeted to parents working but open for everyone. If you are interested please see the flyer below
• Youth camp and retreat coming up in August, 7-12th. Fee £165 (with £50 subsidy). Youths should collect a form from their class, complete and return to their youth teacher to register. Content slips must be signed by parents & submitted latest by 30th June
• The National teachers conference is coming up on Sat 17th Sep. This is an invitation for ALL teachers. To register your attendance please speak with Sis Jisola.
• We are expecting a number of special ministers in September, October, November & December. Including Bishop Asare and Pastor Sanusi. Please keep these events in your prayers.

Text: Romans 16:25

The definition of Power is: the ability or capability to do something.

Jesus was given power once he was baptized. The Lord anointed Him with the Holy Spirit and Power consequently, Jesus was able to perform miracles and signs and wonders.

God”s power is the only great power. Every other power is insubordinate in comparison to that of the God we serve.

What makes God:God, is His power. Every power can be challenged. That of the Prime Minister, or our parents, But God”s power cannot be challenged because He is God.

It is with this power that God establishes. And when God establishes, nobody can question this establishment.

Five areas can establish you by His Power

1. God can establish You in the faith (In Christ Jesus)

Isaiah 54:14.

We need to firmly rooted in God to avoid us wavering in the world.

2.In business

3. In a family

Isaiah 51:1-2

4. In your health. Health is wealth.

5. Financially. The condition to receiving establishment in wealth: Remember the Lord Your God.

Therefore, one can conclude with mathematical certainty that: Hard Work and Knowledge will get you close, and Attitude will get you there, It’s the Love of God that will put you over the top!

What is attitude: as a  noun, attitude is a settled way of thinking or feeling.

The position of the body in the way it carries itself. The way you talk also counts as attitude.

This is why your mindset and your attitude is your stronghold. Something that has the power to hold you and not let you go.

The truth is the Word of God, and the Word of God is the truth. Therefore, if your attitude contradicts the word of God, then you are not for the Lord and cannot call yourself a Christian.

Our life is programmed to behave in a way that is pleasing to the environment we live. However, we encounter unpleasant situations and this makes us to react negatively because our mindset will not allow such things to keep us off track.

What should be my attiude towards God be?

-Total Devotion

-Love

-Commitment

What should my attitude towards life be?

-Simplicity (take life easy)

If you handle life simply, you will have peace constantly.

-Understanding that life is futile (it’s vain)

Things like pleasure are considered to be futile. Pleasure is only good in the right context.

Do not allow the world system to determine what success is to you. For the world to consider you to be a successful person, you must have earn a certain amount and have a amount of figures for you to be successful.

What God counts as successful is meeting the targets, fulfilling the destiny that he has created for you and making Him happy as your Father in Heaven.

As Christians, we need to treat the things of this world as if they are fleeting. We need to enjoy things sparingly. We need to hold them by the ends so that if God asks for them back, we can do so willingly.

Attitude to Giving:

-Giving is very good. God wants for us to bless others as he blesses us. If we fail to bless others with the little God blesses us with, we shouldn’t expect God to bless us with greater things.

Attitude to receiving:

-We need to be humble and open to recieving. God can use anybody to touch your life. Help can come from every corner but we need to learn to stop being arrogant and receive help.

What is Grace?

God’s Grace enables us to reign in life despite the fact that we deserve death over and over again due to the numerous amount of times we have committed sins.

Through God’s Grace, we are able to behave like kings and queens and command our wants.

We need to understand that as Christians, Christ will forever love us. Spiritual disciplines will not cause God to love us more or less but instead to humble ourselves.

Receiving the gift of Righteousness:

Spiritual Impact: We were healed by the stripes and beatings that he bore on the cross.

Emotional impact: God enjoys us. Previously, he loved us but was unable to enjoy us because we had fallen short of the Glory of God.

Title: How to Survive Economic Famine

Life constantly moves, and so it is impossible for you to stay in the same place. You either move forwards or you move backwards. This is applicable for spiritual and physical situations.

Life does not move on without you experiencing challenges. There will be problems and challenges everywhere, but one thing is certain: because you are a child of God, you have the power to overcome and survive the economic famine.

In economic times, people’s situations can become worse. A prime example in the bible is of Naomi who changed her name to Mara whilst the there was famine in the land.

No matter what the crisis, if you have Jesus Christ, Christ will cross off that crisis.

God appeared to Moses

God spoke to Moses–> We need to learn to hear the voice of the Lord

God gave Isaac specific instruction

Isaac obeyed the voice of the Lord

Isaac sowed in the land–>Never be tired of sowing. You can never outgive God. If God can sacrifice His son for you, nothing should be too much to sacrifice.

God blessed Isaac

Isaac became a subject of envy (after God made him great).

The greatest miracle is to hear God every time.

The first ingredient to experience miracle’s from God is relationship with God, mark 7:24

1. Having a relationship with God is essential to experiencing his miracle

2. To be filled with the word of God. this will expose his promises and what he has in store for you. It tells you the mind of God and your rights. Hosea 4:5-7. Knowledge in itself has power to deliver. Spend time with your bible daily. If you don’t know your right the devil will abuse & use you.

3. Believe the word of God. God is a God of simplicity, so trust and believe his word as a child. Matt 13:57-58, Rom 4:19-21. Learn to hope against hope & see the invisible. Do not let unbelief attack you but be strong in faith. Rom 11:19-21, Num 13:14. Take the risk and believe the word of God, no matter what happens all will be well. Unbelief is an obstacle to your blessings.

4. Use of the power of imagination. We all have this power, and we should use it to imagine the manifestation of the word of God. The law of the fourth dimension, the law of faith, faith sees what ordinary eyes cannot see. Heb 11:13 -16. See the invisible with the eyes of faith, in the spiritual and that is what you will get. Learn to see the invisible.

5. Be a worshipper of God. Worshippers are lovers of God, committed to him, not for what they will get but just because! They just love. They don’t wait for the blessings/benefits or what they will get. It’s good to praise God, but praise is generally reactive where worship is proactive. Ps 42:1-2 shows the heart of someone who loves God. True lovers give not expecting anything in return.

6. Be a praiser of God. Learn to give him praise and be grateful no matter what. God blesses those who are grateful not those who moan. Ps 34:1-3

7. Be patient. Don’t run ahead of God. Ps 37:7. Ps 40:1. Wait on God.

I am the beloved of the Lord. I am loved by God.

No matter what you are going through God loves you. This incredible God loves you so much that He called us his children. Verse 1 and John 1:12

Gods love is so great and we are commissioned to replicate that love. To love back. God will love us regardless (after all we were created in Hid image) but imagine how painful it is for God to love you and you do not love Him.

God loves you so much that he has given us, His children, the license of call Him father. In addition, He gave His only Son for us and constantly draws us closer to Him.

Consider this also – God loves us all but does not enjoy everyone! He enjoys those who keep His law and commands. Does God enjoy you? Don”t fall into presumptuous sin by sinning and exploiting the mercy of God, i.e. sin deliberately and then cry for forgiveness. Do not take God for granted. V4 We need If lessons look so cheap they are too good to true, they probably are!We have a mission to teach you to safe driving skills. to stop practising sin and to stand in righteousness because God is holy and can”t stand anyone in sin.
We need to heed to the cry of God to love him and to worship Him because on that day of judgement, God will ask us what we did, and sin should not be the answer.

In view of Gods mercy, how do we respond to the love of God? Do you love Him only when He is blessing you? You must keep loving Him even when a blessing to connect your love to is not obvious.

As Christians, we need to learn to be grateful unto God for everything and anything. Small things such as: waiting for a bus and the bus arriving immediately is something that we should thank God for. To get the best from God, we need to learn to be grateful. For answers to prayers, for wishes and thoughts that God brings to pass without us asking out loud for them, we need to learn to say thanks.

Noah desired to show his gratitude to God – so Noah raised an altar to the one who delivered him, helped & sustained this. He recognised & acknowledged Gods intervention.

An altar is a place where a mortal/human meets with God. A place that humans come to stand before God: to worship and rejoice him.

At God”s altar, we bring our sacrifice, we show appreciation to what God has and horscope Libra 2005 provides a magnificent opportunity to find the one for you to give your heart and soul. done in our lives. Equally, it is an avenue to exchange personal relationship/fellowship with God.

Every altar has a sacrifice. Blood is spilt. You”ll find this true at altars if even other gods. Nite that the wrong sacrifice will be rejected.

God did not reject Noah”s sacrifice but was pleased & accepted it.

It is important that when God gives you a seed, you sow some back to him. If you fail to do this, there are repercussions. Although it may be difficult to sow seeds, we need to understand that in the end, God blesses us back beyond our expectations.

When you sow a seed, it dies and comes back to life in abundance. Sow one seed of corn and you”ll get a cupful. This is Noah”s story. God accepted his sacrifice & promised not to curse the ground which secures our future.

The land where we sow our seed is an important factor to be considered before we sow. The fertility of that land determines the harvest.

Prosperity is not about material wealth but is about access to help, where help is available always as & when needed.

Ruth, a Moabite, is a good example of someone in the bible that paid a great & favourable sacrifice in sowing her life into Naomi”s life and by so doing she entered into the genealogy of Jesus.

Isaac was also offered as a seed, a sacrifice unto God.

Hannah, 1 Sam. She sowed Samuel and was blessed 500% back since she had five more children.

In summary, the best seed that you can sow is your own life. Giving your life to God and allowing Him to take it over.

On every street, there is no physical gate of seperation to distinguish the boundary, however, there’s always unseen spritual boundary that demacates boundary.

Serving God is not a logical experience. Only insane and mad men worship God. Since everything He says is contrary to logic. Consider this: He made man from dust not precious materials, that in itself defies logic!!

Phil 2:5. If that mind is in you then you must lose your own mind.

Logic will ask you questions about obeying God. Madness will not stop you.

The New Anointing
The difference between the anointing, the anointed one & the oil. This anointing is the power of God upon an individual enabling him/her to function in an excellent manner. In the realm of the anointing, every lost thing is restored.

Attracting the anointing
Anointing is the most infectious diesease. It rubs off easier than any other infection.

You need a right heart to get an anointing (of another).
You must also pay the price for the anointing. That is your service.
Finanly it comes by desire. How much you want it? Do you want it bad enough to stand for it?

Once upon you the anointing attracts blessing.

This is the year of government and the power belongs to God. We all have a patch to rule.

Circumstances and your mind mind may not dictate authority and indeed challenge you but God is all real & all powerful.
Nothing can question Gods integrity!! But have you been obedient? Question yourself. Don’t let you culture dictate how you worship God.

In times of trouble command your spirit to worship & everything that is impossible becomes possible. (Bless the Lord oh my soul)

Question yourself. What government do you belong to? God’s government or yours??

When God looks in everyone He sees His passion.

In the kingdom of God everyone is special. Rely on Gods word. Know that in our weaknesses His strength is made perfect!

In this season stand in God. Don’t look at circumstances depend on the kingdom of God.

Listening is the first communication skill of a child, but it is the most under developed skill. Speaking & listening are of course inter-related. As parents we teach our children to speak but not to listen. We should also note that listening & hearing is not the same. The dictionary defines listening as hearing with thoughtful attention and being alert to catch a sound, listening on the other hand, requires a conscious efforts that goes beyond the national process and requires your consent to assimilate the message being passed across to you.

Hearing = Perceive or apprehend by the ear
Listening = To pay attention to sound, hear with thoughtful attention, give consideration.

Hearing involves 3 inter-connective stages.

• Reception sound
• Perception in the brain
• Interpretation

Hearing is a prerequisite to listening. Hearing ability has nothing to do with listening skills. Consider this, even deaf people can still listen. You can tune out boring or discomforting noise. Does the words of God cause you discomfort?

God expects us to be tuned into Him permanently. Hearing requires no effort, e.g. Traffic on the road, you pay no attention unless crossing. Hearing is a passive occurrence. Open your ears & listen to God. Tune in always! Listening goes far beyond hearing but with intention of understanding what is being said.

Hearing occurs without consent but listening requires consent. Do you understand the language of God? Are you connected? Is there a link? The process of growth is dependent on what we choose to learn & how much we take in. Listening is the ability to receive constructive meaning from what is heard.

It is not possible to shut down ones auditory perception but we have a choice in what we listen to. Even subtle things like the music we hear can impact what we take in spiritual and whose voice we hear.

Why we do not listen?

• Unbelieve
• Low self esteem, not sure they we are God’s child or why He would like to speak to us but remember we are children of God. He wants to speak to us.
• Perhaps we are too busy
• Anger at God
• Anxiety & stress
• Rebellious spirit. Is 30:1-5
•  Don’t know how to listen.

Listening & Hearing can affect your character & what you choose to do. John 3:19-21. Be careful to what you listen to, as that is what is on your mind. Make a concious effort. It will be difficult to learn if you don’t listen.

What you hear & listen to affects your character.
Pro 18:13 – listen before you answer
Pro 23:26
Listen to take full benefits of Gods promises, to be obedient, to follow his directions, to fulfi Gods call, to have life & health.

Why hear & listen?

• Pro 23:26 The Lord urges us to listen to Him
• Focus & concentrate on God. Be still in His presence. Learn to be secluded, periods of retreat, Jesus did this.
• Be humble & submissive.
• Be willing to be obedient.
• You can only be intimate with Him when you submit your all to him.

There are 3 types of listeners;

• Non listener
• Passive listener
• Active listener, complete focus & understands

How? 4 stages

• Sensing
• interpreting
• evaluating
• response

As a worker we should be confident in our calling. What has God called you to do? Identify this and be confident in it. Working in the house of the Lord should not bring about competition. When God has called you in a particular area, why compete with others?

The bible encourages us to have respect for those in authority, e.g. heads of departments/ministry. Remember that what you sow is what you reap. If you trouble those in authority, remember that one day you will be in authority. So honor those in authority. and show respect.

The best way to serve God is by serving people. If you cannot serve a person then you cannot serve God. Remember that you cannot see God but He lives in the people around you, the people that you should serve. So by serving them you are serving God. Let service not be a problem or a burden for you.

v4 – Humble youself by looking for ways to serve. Don’t be arrogant or proud. Even our Daddy G.O. is an example of a humble person, one in whom you cannot see the great wealth God has given Him. He has chosen to consciously humble himself, as a deliberate act to remind himself that he is nothing.

As workers, we are servants of God as well as ministers. Do not be arrogant. If you feel above the people that you are to serve then you are not worthy to be called a worker. Know that it is a privilege to serve the people of God because you are serving the God in him or her.

Don’t be a hypocrite. Afterall we brought nothing into this world, and we cannot take anything with us. if we have enough food and clothing then be content. Don’t try to get what God has not given to you else you fall into the trap of the enemy. If you plan to be rich by all means then you will fall into the trap of the enemy. Do not LOVE money and do not let your life be driven by money.

The following things should drive you as a worker:

• righteousness, that is right standing with God
• holiness, that is being obedient to God’s instruction
• God’s calling upon your life, depending on the stage that He has placed you
• loving God and loving your neighbours (all workers to study the book of 1 John)
• developing a personal relationship with God
• showing commitment to what God has committed into your hands

The horn symbolises: strength, power and responsibility. Those animals who possess horns, once cut off, no longer have the power or strength of past days.

A carpenter is a skilled man trained to work with wood.

Every challenge in life represents a horn. Horns disintegrates but carpernters build. Horns have been strategically positioned by the devil to destroy; but rest assured, for every horn there is a carpenter!

When you are on the verge of your breakthrough, horns can rear its head to stand as a stumbling block to your breakthrough and related manisfestation. But when you hold on to God, no horn can have a hold over you.

God will release His carpenters for you even to fight the battles that the horns may bring your way. God is raising armies in this time and has already given us the vision to see the viles and plans of the enemies. With that vision you can rise up against the enemy and its source. The enemies job is to fight you but God is raising carpenters.

God has made provisions for you. Remember that you are a conqueror and He that is in you is greater than He that is in the world. Stay with God. Go back to your first love. Dwell in the presence of the Lord.

Some cannot wait for God but we must learn to be paitient to receive exactly what God has planned to deliever to us.
There is no shortcut to God’s blessing, you have to continue to wait and trust in God. If you want the best from God, you need to wait and God will sort you out.

In the text we see that God is calling the Loveless Church back. Are you still in love with God. Return to your first love. He will always love you and He is waiting with open loving arms to receive you.

As a child of God, you should not have fear in your heart because God dwells in you. If Your ways are not right with God, then you have a right to be afraid.

God has already made provisions to ensure that we are not enslaved to sin. How?
People were ordered to take a simple animal, transfer their sins unto it and then kill it. This was done to shadow the death that Christ would die for us in order to take away our sins.

The Power of the Blood of Jesus Christ is so great, every single strip of beating he endured represents every single disease in this world.
